Run Spybot, Adaware, and Norton often, but don't count on them catching everything.

I had one f*cker that kept reinstalling itself after I deleted every file in Safe Mode, then would open windows and bring me to a site and then attempt to download a virus (that, thankfully, Norton caught).

I had to go into my registry and delete all the files in my Windows > Run folder so that nothing would run on the reboots. Then I reinstalled Norton (because it wouldn't run on reboot after I deleted all the run files).
    So far so good.

They are getting bad. While searching for a fix, I came across a guy that got one so bad that his mother board was no longer useful (don't ask me, I am no tech geek, but he sure was and he was f*cked). The same adware stole thousands from at least one guy by getting his personal info. That's the part that scares me, reformatting is a pain, but not the end of your life. If someone took my bank accounts, that would be.
