I would go for the Maxtors, personally. They've gotten stellar reviews lately (look ar PC Mag and PC World) and they are much cheaper than the LaCies. I am going for the 200GB external, 7200rpm, for $400.
But here's a 120GB, 7200rpm for $300
NOTE: these are firewire and usb 2/1 compatibile, unlike the LaCies that you have to buy a specific oneMaxtor Personal Storage 5000DV - 120GB 7200RPM (1394/USB 2.0 Combo)
