    I use Cubase on PC and love it. You do need about 1Gig of Ram or more and a fast machine though. Cubase has a bad reputation for crashing and bugs in the past but the new version "Cubase SX" has been re-written from scratch and seems much more stable.

    If I won the lotto, I'd get the most powerfull Mac available and full version of Pro Tools. PC's weren't really designed to make music.
