wow, i just watched this on tv.
even though boeing lost the contract, the gov is saying they are thinking of reducing the number of planes to be produced in order to put more funding into unmanned planes...and who do you think heads up that dept....yep...boeing ;)
those planes are sick though. the lockhead goes from supersonic flight to hover, to vertical landing and the engine never takes in hot gas so it wont choke because of their design.
