The only true way to get this effect is to photograph either ink in water, or what i found better is actually milk. I also suggest making the background a greenscreen style thing to make it easier to knock out the liquid in photoshop. You have to have the lighting perfect. The advantage of milk is that you can get shadows on shapes, makes for great clouds.
