how can you have a game where you sit for nine+ innings watching a guy try to hit a ball with a stick?

Have you ever tried hitting the ball with a "stick." It's mot as easy as it looks. Each position had a purpose and each player at that position is highly skilled.
So don't hate on a sport you can't play.
