hands down the best thread, I agree.
Nic, I guess it's all about the approach with clients. Sometimes you need to give them an impression that they are coming up with ideas, but you still fill them with the right stuff. That's only if you wanna do it your way and enjoy the job.
Here's one of my sites that will not go into my portfolio. I did the whole packaging for the product, their collaterals (they all look pretty nice) but the budget for the site was like a $1k and they had their own ideas. Our relationship is not that good because they delayed each payment for months, so I was like in the end "WTF, you wanna fucking site, I'll give you a fucking site" :)
