For illustration pressure sensitivity is a big issue, I think its reason enough to go for the intuos2. I always have problems with my graphire, it seems to have "bad" spots that only register the highest pressure reading, so I end up with huge blobs on my drawing mid stroke and have to undo more than I'd prefer.
I have not used an intuos mind you, but I have not heard of anyone who does have one mention my problem.
