    I think you are missing the point. It's not only about the individual lives of the astronauts, it's about the significance on their achievements, of the space shuttle, of our exploration of space, about science and technology, and ultimately, it's about a dream. That died today. That is why it is significant and why it should not be compared to traffic accidents.
    Not many can become astronauts, only a select few can achieve that dream that so many of us thought about as a kid. You should recognize them for their contributions to discovery, not diminish their existence by comparing them to every other person.
    Sure, some of the sympathy feelings may be misplaced, but it is an unsettling feeling when something of this magnitude happens.
    I only hope the began working towards new ships, those babies are getting really old.
