I'm worse. but I have so much crap I have to be.
You could...
use y-m-d date as the start of the folder name...sorts alphabetically by date in list viewuse an image catalog program like iView that allows you to view/sort across multiple folders by folder heirarchy or date, or image type or arbritrary project sets or labels.....etc.
