just like to say that flash doesn't use you video card to render any of the animations what so ever...
Flash is software based.. meaning the processor will do all the work...
Opengl and DirectX runs via the graphics card...
Director, Max -MSP and other such programs run on the graphics card...

I'm not saying a good graphics card wont help, but thats due to rendering the os and even then Windows is behind OSX becuase OSX uses the hardware to draw the desktop (windows uses CPU - ugly!!)
