see we are in the opposite boat- we just replaced our Dell server for an Xserver and 5 work stations for G5's... I have always (as well as others) used a mac at work but our PC's required more support, more updates, more downtime due to server issues and volunbility... our boss (a use to be PC guy) got feed up with Dell and IBM and all the tech time needed. Sure they were and are cheaper- and you could tell- drivers stopped working, the DVD workstation crapped out and never returned, we had 3 viruses this year alone and the accounting software went blammo- we need to re-image your drive was common talk around the office- plus these Dell machines are only 2 1/2 years old- my work station is a dual 450 mac that has been running without problems since the OS X upgrade. Our 3 PC techs turned into 1 mac tech (and me when they get desperate) and we now have new G5's on the way.
They both do the same thing- true- but now the staff spends more time working than fixing those super fast CHEAP PC's...
To each their own- I use the same machine- without problems so I have nothing to complain about...
