We designers are suckers for brands, if all the top pro's sites are hosted there, and you host there, that will make your site look like if you where a pro, at least for the design comunity, show me 1 site, that is hosted there, and doesnt say it anythere on ther site?
Would you be proud of sporting somebody elses hosting logo?
I dont think so..Its just aesthetics, support? prices, control panels? there is tons of hosting companies all over the world that will match what they do, i dont think that is the reason.
It like Ipods, you dont want to get a mp3 player, those are lame, you want the ipod, and you will never replace the lame earphones, for a real set of headphones, why? cause the white cable is a symbol. If you rock a black cable, then you dont have an Ipod.
Come on, addmit it.. we are suckers for all this marketing crap..
