    Thanks iDP. It's becoming clear that getting close to 20planes makes it a bit unworkable so i've managed to reduce everything to discrete chunks. But i can't get away with simplifying the shapes. It's pretty involved cos i'm taking paintings from the Mughal period in India and trying to illustrate how they used techniques of layering to illustrate complex narrative. So basically i'm working with the original JPEGs and sperating off the layers. What's it like trying to achieve this with JPEGS or GIFs or something like that?
