I'll tell you what, I started a thread a couple of years ago aimed at the folks in my home town of Atlanta. I got maybe 3 responses after a day or so. then a few days later i came back to NT and saw that there was 147 responses. This ended up turning into 400+ responses...all from people within the area..multiple posts...various thoughts...it went on and on.
It's all in the timing, I think. It also helps to have a catchy, crotch-grabbing thread title like "Is there life in Atlanta?" or something.
