TOtally, usability consulting is easy money...but definitely not worth $150-200 unless your name is Anderson or Price. If you're swimming with those sharks, that's a different story and, in my opinion, a waste of a lot of perfectly happy trees.
Consulting rates are variable, but I'd say in the $75-$125 range, with $125 being some heavy shit.
Also, in the consulting world, you have projects and you have budgets. You can budget all you want, but if the project blows out, so does your reputation. In the end, you pretty much always put out more than you budgeted for...that's the game.
