i just got a vaio k15 and upgraded to a gig of ram and it ROCKS... it cost me like 1600 at comp USA. comperable machines were about the same give or take 100 bucks. So, I chose the vaio and i am very happy I did. It is definately a desktop replacement for me. I have a 3 year warentee too. take that, dell. i paid extra for the warentee, but even with that is was about the same as the dell and the compaq i was looking at.
if you have that much money, get the k17. its a couple hundred more. its the top of the line vaio right now.
