No rage. Lots of disappointment though.
As for 'conservatism', I'm not really sure what it means anymore. If it means 'conserving' whatever sanity we have left in this world... then sure. If it means conserving all of the convenient evils of the past so that I may exploit people... then no.
While many so-called 'conservatives' use convention or tradition to exercise (abuse) power, liberals and radicals tend to invent completely new evils to do essentially the same thing: 'exercise power'. Just because something is new or different doesn't make it good.
Also, don't base judgement of 1300 years of civilization on bad experiences in catholic grade school. That's a little narrow minded.
Anyways, interesting discussion but I gotta go. Cheers!
