Ended up being a bit of a crap film (bad 3rd act). But to date the most enchanting thing i've ever seen. Saw it when i was 15, opened my eyes to the fact that images can do much more than convey simple narrative.
And yes i'm aware that its a contradiction to say this film goes against traditional narrative ideas, and then slate the fact it had a crap 3rd act. Point is - it had this stupid contrived ending that tried to bring order to the whole thing. Unnecessarily, cos it took away from the magic of it. Still, we're talkin about influential - not favourite.
