well, it IS rather obvious that the jet engine at the end is the same one from the beginning, but there is a lot of subtlety in this film, and a lot of solid references to quantum physics.
not ALL the elements of the film are self-explanatory.
it sounds like you couldn't wrap your head around it, and have decided that the movie is simple, rather than your thought process.
