now without wanting to get flamed for reacting to this stereotype but I used to have a jewish woman boss (she owned teh business) and she was a nice person like when you would see her with friends but with business, she was a bitch, she took so long bartering to buy a g3 that the day she got it the g4's came out, no shit!!
Anyway, she would give me bonusses occasionally when she detected my growing resentment of the job but it seemed to me like she got such a kick from doing it - "oohoo my good deed for the day, or year maybe hmm.." and she would constantly bring it up as if she was buying your peace or your soul or something. I took the bonus, made sure she paid me all the holiday pay I was owed and got the fuck outta there, nightmare it was.
What I would do is be really pleased and appreciative, talk really fast (sitcom style, they cant get a word in) and stell them as soon as you got it you paid off some bad debt that was really beginning to worry you, they'll rather take the pleasure of giving than having to take it off you.
