wow, really good for a first site.
the font mix thing, i know what he's talking about but it doesn't bother me really. if you look at the first 11 lines of text down the left hand side of the page, you have 8 different styles.
the only thing i would definitely change there is that your 'contact the rps...' links and the actual content text are in the same font & style.
a couple of tiny points:
there seems to be an error in the 'stop press news' thing here (ie/pc) - the 'the date for the' text is huge.
if you knock down the rps shield by about 5 pixels it will be aligned to both the top of 'the royal photographic society' and the bottom of the 'home news links'. at the moment it's not aligned to either.
but yeah, it's great, really impressed that someone could do this as their first site.
