i just got out of a project like that. did about 20 comps and the client still wasnt happy. last week she saw some ruff pencil scethes we had done, and she grabbed it and said 'we want it exactly like that, exactly'. so we scanned in the pencil scetch, added a photo then presto, a website. Most times its the clients fault for not being able to express what it is they want.
