Had a very poor night's kip - kept on waking up and then only very slowly slipping back to sleep. At some point somewhere between wakefulness and slumber I had quite a vivid dream which resulted in me kicking something very hard, except I was awake enough to actually execute the kick, so woke myself up with noise of me having kicked the wall and I had a very sore foot. Never done something like that before, I don't think.

Had to put a light on and check I'd not done myself any actual damage. Didn't look like it, but it's still quite sore.

Really bad thing is - my daughter was sleeping alongside me. If I'd been lying on the other side I might well have kicked her instead :\

    • Mind you, it might teach her for sleeping in our bed. I don't mind on occasion but her and my partner have conspired to make it a regular thing.Nairn
    • There's a reason I nicknamed hre 'the fidget midget' a long time ago, and she's not gotten any less so. Little bugger awoke me y'day kicking me in the belly.Nairn

    • This is the gateway drug to sleep paralysis.
Stay *clam* and embrace the dread.

    • Maybe it's your daughter keeping you awake with her midget fidgeting.CyBrainX
    • She's not helping, but I've a lot on my mind at the moment. So, being middle-aged, I get up for a 3am pee and then have my head turning for the next 3 hoursNairn
