I don't think Apple realise how their fancy iOS / iPadOs updates affect senior users.
I see it with my 80+ parents, every new version further complicates the use, requires more steps to do the same action, and adds fancy submenus they're confused by to buttons.
Especially true with facetime and the camera app. They should have a Senior UI switch in the accessibility settings to dumbify it all.

- iPads are perfect for seniors that don't need to deal with PCs. Those 70+ in our family love theirs. Stupid that Apple doesn't realize that.mxhxr
- Agreed. Apple just assumes people eventually don’t need visual cues we all relied on, and ignoring that many customers it’s not second nature.monospaced
- Yeah they've fucked up again. And this time they didn't even need a U2 album.MrT

- can not agree more. had the same experience with my aunt. every time I visited her she could not use her mac or iphone because of an ui/ux "update".fairbaken
- dont need a dumbify button, they need a legacy button that makes the ui stay as it is. nothing more needed.fairbaken
- _me_ : you can reduce that liquid look in Accessibility > Display > Reduce Transparency.spl33nidoru
