I few first class in Air Canada not long ago and they actually have SICK headphones in first class, the problem was that they were the two-prong type. The good thing was that they had laptop DVD players up there and in the leather carry case there was a 2-prong to 1-prong minijack converter, so i swiped that too!
The ear padding is kinda like this really soft leather, and it fits really nicely around the ear, and inside it has a nice soft spongy material which pads the surface of the ear quite nicely. the band across the head also has this soft leathery padding on it too.
Granted, they may not be the best on the market, but I got them for free!
So next time you're on an airplane, take a look through first class on your way off the plane and see if they have any First Class headphones sitting around and try to swipe them. Maybe you can find a minijack converter from Radio Shack or something.
