Okay, creative people... I have a question.
I've been attempting to get back into (hand on paper) drawing again.
It's taken a while and I've churned out some shit while I relearn technique and dabble in new media and materials.
I've landed on a set of materials and processes that I like. All still looks like shit but I can see improvement.
I'd like to find a place (not QBN) where people post up their work... not to sell it, not to have smoke blown up the arse pipe, just to go "Hey I just did this" and other people doing drawings go "huh, yeah, okay".
I'm not interested in social media (Insta, TikTok et al).
There used ro be a drawings based forum called... what was it called?... something Emo and cosplayish like DemonArt or whatever?
There was Tumblr but is that still a thing?
Then there was good old Dreamweaver and you could just bang out a shonky html website (I know, because I tried).
My question is... is there somewhere these days where people who like drawing stuff gather to collectively have their drawings ignored or tutted at?
Where do the pencileros hang out in 2025?

- was the emo cosplay site deviantart?sausages
- DeviantArt yes. Thank you.Horp
- Grafician, thanks but not looking for social media 'broadcast it to everybody' so much as 'here's a dank corner where we gather quietly'.Horp
- I have discovered I still have a Tumblr, which amazes me. But I'm looking for a forum rather than a place where one craves attention from random strangers.Horp
- That is not social media, with friends and family, those are the main communities for drawing
if not then try redit or discord idk******** - it's a good question.
sadly, the internet has lost its soul in this chase. The wild frontier for misfits and dreamers - it's gone.uan - what I found. Go analog. find local meetups, croquis cafes. there are plenty of them (thanks to the internet).uan
- Yeah, inclined to think I should focus on real&local when I get that far. No ambitions for this, but it would be nice to have some sort of dialogue with peers.Horp
- Go to expos, comic con, art-bars, stores specializing in drawing materials, comic stores... Anywhere, where you can meet other peeps irlOBBTKN
- Or... IG/FB (yes, I know, no social) Pinterest is a good way to know artists near you...OBBTKN
- Cheers OBBTKNHorp
