I find it incredible that the council or whoever is responsible for upkeep of the local landmarks have neglected to cover up the graffiti that has been sprayed over the beautiful Mini-Lighthouse up the road in Arbroath for the past 6 months. It's the first thing visitors see as they come into the town from the south and I can only imagine the disappointment so many visitors will have felt as they saw it and thought awww, how sad it looks. I have complained to the council and I would be happy to paint it if the powers that be gave me a 2.5ltr tin of Signal Red!
- It's my age, I actually give a shit about these things now I'm in my 60'sGardener
- I'd probably be arrested if I just went ahead and painted it without permission.Gardener
- There's no respect! Create a GoFundMe, paint it, and then write to the city council complaining that THIS is what taxes are for, you lazy bastards!OBBTKN
- yep, written to em' hoping my lighthouse shaming post on their FB page gets more folks wound up, lolGardener
- just say you're graffiting it and they'll leave you be.hans_glib
- after you paint it, someone (or the sameone) will tag it again :))********
- Cool DJ booth!mort_
- Paint a proper frame around it. There is something special about how shitty it is.garbage
- what does it even attempt to communicate? Straight out of Gummo, English seaside style.canoe
- and explaining graf as an "8-year-old with access to the internet," hits at home with his comment here :)) #realpostcanoe
- Good news! Council have posted on FB to say they will sort it in the spring, a bit of hassling has paid off.Gardener
- Congrats. Be nice with solar powered lights to make it litcanoe
- I think it's too close to a main road and the railway line, it would look cool but probably cause untold carnage.Gardener
- I like the idea of Gardener doing his radio show from there.PhanLo
- god, that would be great!Gardener
