I've used society6 in the past, it seemed like a popular option at the time (not sure how it compares to today). I made 1 sale early on, then zero after that.
I think any of these print-on-demand marketplaces are going to be a challenge to find buyers on-site. You'll need to create your own audience on social-media and send buyers to your storefront. That can be a pretty low-return full-time occupation.
Once you have an audience, then you're going to struggle to understand what your buyers are looking at, where they are coming from, how many place your work in their cart but back-out for X reason. Your audience might be redirected to other artists on-site as well. Really you are better off having your own storefront with shopify or something. You could do a print-on-demand drop-ship type arrangement, but that's putting a lot of trust in a 3rd party to represent your product quality and customer service.
I like the idea of printing things myself until I know what the business looks like, and have enough clout to work with higher-end suppliers. It's an investment though, and a tough business to get a toe-hold.
