It should be fine, I'm running ADSL through a BT line (it's not BT Broadband but it's the same thing under another name) on Panther.
Don't get the modem they offer to supply, use an ADSL router instead to avoid any compatibility issues. I'm using a D-Link DSL 504 if that's any help.
