Hello everyone,
I am looking for the best equipment to achieve something similar to Edward Ruscha's work.

My challenge is to take a photo of a street on the hill, here is a test with raw unedited photos:
With all my lenses I will have the problem of perspective on all the trees and houses.
Instead to multiple hours of editing I am wondering if there is a more effective way or if there is any lens, equipment or technique that will allow me to take several photos without perspective distortion like this one:Thanks
- You could try to use a slit-scan technique where you take a video while moving the camera over time, then join one column of pixels from each framemonNom
- That’s basically how a flatbed scanner works. You’ll still get vanishingpoints for the vertical axis, but horizontal will be free of distortion.monNom
- You might also investigate telecentric lenses, which eliminate perspective. However the lens must be at least as large as the subject so may not be feasible.monNom
- Or maybe the most obvious of all- use the panorama function on your iPhone, which will essentially accomplish the slitscan technique.monNom
- Thanks monNomSalarrue
- My pleasure. Hope you make something cool.monNom
