RFK Jr. says the Trump administration is going to remove fluoride from the water supply immediately after taking office.

A journalist asked Trump himself about this and he says he hasn't talked to RFK about it but it sounds like a good idea.

Trump has said he will put RFK Jr., who thinks we need to investigate chemtrails and that vaccines cause autism, in charge of all US government health and science agencies.

Really wondering how people who think Trump is the more serious candidate like pr2 said interpret thing like this...doesn't it just seem like it's going to be a massive shitshow?

    • Conspiracy theories vs sciencebainbridge
    • pr2 is just like RFK, total vaccine conspiracy theorist, etc.monospaced
    • Also. He loves the idea that Trump would put someone totally unqualified in a position like this, instead of actual experienced professionals like Kamala would.monospaced
    • Yeah you probably shouldn't be calling other people dumb if you can't figure out Trump is a liar and RFK is a deranged conspiracy theorist.yuekit
    • But let's say for the sake of argument they're right about everything...yuekit
    • It still raises some questions why RFK is announcing a policy that Trump has never heard of. Or under what authority they will be able to get local governmentsyuekit
    • the level of fluoride in water is already regulated.zaq

    • Fluoridation reduces IQ in kids. Maybe because kids getting overexposed through: fluoridated water, swallowing fluoridated toothpaste, dental fluoride treatmentmonNom
    • Maybe also to do with the source of fluoride. Toothpaste used sodium fluoride. An expensive medical grade. Water treatment uses fluorosilicate acid.monNom
    • Fluorosilicate acid is an industrial byproduct of phosphate mining/processing. It has trace contaminants like cadmium/arsenic
That are no good for human health.

    • Very few countries still fluoridating their drinking water. Seems the science is changing on this one.monNom
    • I'm not against them looking into it at all but do you really want RFK Jr. being the person who makes decisions like this?yuekit
    • BTW the average IQ in the USA is almost identical to other countries with similar levels of development that don't fluoridate their water like France and the UKyuekit
    • So if there's an effect it doesn't seem very significant. I do think the issue of environmental toxins should be looked at especially air pollution, plastic etcyuekit
