I totally agree with what you say but I wouldnt say no to gay marriage. I think that the 'christian' religious tenet has been abused and modified to suit peoples lifestyles for such a long time that it really means little anymore. Plenty of people who want to live together do so without getting married (me and my gf) but there are many gay people who are religious and want to be recognised in the eyes of God, not just the state, and the church should (and it quite often does) allow that.
