    WTF, I got into an argument with my buddy tonight about the US not requiring voters to produce ID. I had no idea. How is this possible?

    what stops people from voting multiple times? I guess you need to register to vote and then you get a ballot and they only print as many ballots as there are registered voters, and I'm assuming the ballots have some kind of serial# or something on them?

    • Had to have an ID to register to vote, and occasionally re-authenticate my signature. Every time I vote it's logged so they'll know if someone tries to spoof.evilpeacock
    • The rare instances of multiple voter fraud usually involves voting in multiple states where you have had past registrations. And those usually get found out.evilpeacock
    • In Washington State voting is permanently absentee, and has been fantastic for decades. I can look up my entire ballot history online, track receipt, etc.evilpeacock
