Redesigning and rebuilding my photo site because WP crashed somehow and I can't get it running again. It's not so bad... I'd been wanting to update it for a while and cull things down.

In any event, previously, photo sets were just vertical scrolling sets of photos. Simple, typical. Had no problems with it.

Thinking about doing something that's just a single-image scroller via arrows and wondering if you guys have any preference for one approach vs the other. I'm really indifferent to how I do it, but lean towards the single-image format because of the focus it puts on one image, rather than just scrolling vertically rapidly.

    Thoughts?

    • You've got a point about viewing a single image at a time. I think that makes them individually more impactful...monNom
    • However, scrolling a long page with lazy-loading is just so much easier for passive consumption. I would think you'd get better engagement from that approach.monNom
    • Maybe try both and see what works for you?

    • Thanks, that's a good idea. I'm preloading the images in the scroller, but I get your point.mg33
    • I'm in the middle of re-designing mine, too, going back to Concrete from too many years of WP, and I'm going with single long page per project.Continuity
