I'll believe in astrology when the stock market uses it for analysis, or if any empirical science relies on it to make repeatable, testable, and accurate predictions. Until then, it's as credible to me as reading tea leaves or consulting a magic 8-ball for life decisions. Science thrives on evidence, and astrology offers none that stands up to scrutiny.
- I don't think we need to believe in astrology just as we don't need to believe in chess.
Let people have their fun.
Go & be.palimpsest - Hey Wagshaft, when was the last time you used trend analysis and compared it against Gann Angles, or even Planetary synodic cycles? what about moon phases?keewee
- Check mate, motherfucker.palimpsest
- Gann Angles, planetary cycles, and moon phases are indeed fascinating and beautiful aspects of the natural world.wagshaft
- However, they aren't effective tools for prediction. Healthcare, meteorology, and disaster preparedness would eagerly use astrology if it reliably predictedwagshaft
- Yet, without consistent, repeatable predictions, these methods remain speculative and can't be considered valid tools for forecasting future events.wagshaft

- Dude science isn’t predicting the stock market either********
- Science never claimed it could. But astrology hinges on its claim to make predictions based on planetary alignments.monospaced
