fucken hell @1:27 "...get a Leica and wake up in the morning and say, wow, I really have a Leica..."
punches, brass knuckle punches for this guy..
- So is anybody with a Leica camera a photographer?********
- very few.futurefood
- He started that sentence with “I don’t...”********

- Not unless they lived in the 60s. They are beyond romanticized, especially in the gearhead era.garbage
- They were popular because they are compact and had a cloth shutter. I had to look this guy up.. and he's just a rich guy with gear reviews.garbage
- Was a Leica my dream camera as a kid? Yup. Is it worth the insane price? Nope.garbage
- My used Leica m6 has more or less gone up with inflation. So technically costs nothing to own it, if I eventually sell it before it dies or gets stolen********
- Yea the bodies can be found for cheap if you are patient. It’s the lenses that will tear a hole in your wallet. Most are worth it thoughfuturefood
- Lately I’ve been finding older 50s/60s lenses for under $400 in amazing condition. I like shooting with those mostlyfuturefood
- Yeah, I couldn't care less about owning a Leica body. Old Leica glass, on the other hand? Yes. M or R, I don't care. Gimme.Continuity
- Konica Hexar AF. It's called the Poor Man's M6 for a reason.garbage
- Though I pretty much only shoot Fujinon, they're just beyond sharp. Oly Zuiko lenses pair well with the X system.garbage
- It's not about the gear, it's about the operator.garbage
- I had a chance to mount a colleague's 50 mm Summicron-R on the Canon 7D I owned at the time. The 'Leica look' is for real. What a joy to use.Continuity

- Damn, I hope he kept his R Lens. prices have skyrocketed in past years. I just invested in a set of R's and it came with a 50mm Summilux. Worth every penny!futurefood
- The R was such a great form factor, too. Chunky. Hefty. Nice slow, smooth travel on the focus rings.
That Summilux of yours must be dreamy wide open.Continuity
