What an utter fucking trash pile of an app... GARBAGE... the shit you have to wade through to make the simplest of elements.

Had a client ask if I'd try making something in Canva for them as they have an internal DICKWAD who likes the browser-based load of shit...

... tonight I learned — always say NO.

Do you hear me, QBN?? The answer is ALWAYS 'NO'.

You pound the fucking table and slap them in the face if need-be as you scream the word 'NOOooooOOOoo!' as loud as you fucking can being sure to draw blood from at least one ear lobe... if not both.

    No.

    • I tried it once, to make a CV by using a template. I was overwhelmed with the amount of trash I had to go through and the complexity. Ended up using Illustratoroey_oey

    • So funny because non designers talk about canva like it’s gods gift of diy design for all.doublespaced
    • It do what it do. It's great for making FB invitations for my mom. Better than firing up Illustrator. Know your tools.palimpsest
    • For *all* is key here. Better making an emailer in Canva than in Word.palimpsest
    • It’s marketing girls wet dream. Now she can make her own shitty banners and not ask the graphics guy anymore.doublespaced
    • Every tool has its place. Canva is not nearly as efficient as illustrator or the like—it’s the wrong tool if there is a BETTER tool. I’m stuck with a dull knifePonyBoy
    • The problem is when the graphics guy uses Canva.palimpsest
    • My 7 y/o uses crayons, I'm not hating on him or his crayons.palimpsest

    • I tried to use it once for volunteer work because the committee wanted a free application. They all quit and I went back to InDesign.cotton
