    Although he could still win the election (nothing American voters do would surprise me at this point), shouldn't underestimate how screwed Trump is if he loses.

    Then he'll be facing three other court cases that are much more serious than this one, with better evidence against him in those cases and the possibility of years in prison. Right now he can spend funds he raised from campaign donors on his legal defense but after he loses who's going to want to pay for that?

    Basically Trump now has everything riding on the election. Similar to Netanyahu in Israel, he will try to use politics to try to escape the legal consequences of his actions.
