^ That answer is a good example of how these generative AIs don't think or reason for themselves...it's literally just mashing together content from the internet like if Google results were returned in the form of an essay rather than a list of search results.

So GPT's solution for climate would just be a summary of what other people said. There's no insight to be gained there at all.

Machine learning has solved scientific questions but within the context of analyzing large data sets.

So there's potential for solving specific targeted problems but as far as an overall solution, we're on our own.

    • what do you expect? insight? from what? human's lack of it?imbecile
    • the prompt was simply "a solve for the climate crisis?"imbecile
    • the insight is obvious and true. what chatgpt needs are humans who will follow throughimbecile
    • laughing at the obvious answer out of lhuman aziness is concerning at best, detrimental at worst.imbecile
    • the answe is literally right in front of us but lobbyists prevent change for what? profit? hilariousimbecile
    • "AI sucks because it can't manipulate humans into caring about themsrlves" fucking hilariousimbecile
    • "don't just outline a solution, complete it and satisfy my lazy demands, otherwise you are worthless" is a damning conclusion for a human to arrive atimbecile
    • lol...not what I was saying. Many people do expect them to give insight (or think they will soon).yuekit
