a few years ago, I was inspired to try a subscription to drinktrade.com

i would hand grind fresh beans that then steep in filtered near boiling water for x amount of time. I had all the little accoutrement to prepare ithem fresh. i'd often make lazy espressos, the girl and guests thought they were delicious and delightful

no matter what, i found them to be so bitter, i could never get behind any of the beans we ordered

i bring ths up as, i found that equipment packed away and wonder if i should try any other coffees before i give it up completely?

sign im gettting old? i'll never like coffee?

of course one could add milk, sugar, creamer, etc. but if that's the case, i still don't like coffee

    • fresh roasted and ground coffee prepared how you describe should taste wonderful, no bitterness, just a medley of flavours._niko
    • Play with your grind settings, too big and it's sour, too small and it's bitter. You may also want to try different brew setups like pour over or aeropress.koma_
