Today I had the evaluation of my test time (6 months) on the job.
I was informed they would let me go...

This came as a surprise and very unexpectedly, specially because I kept on asking for feedback and it was never negative.

The main reason being that my partner is expecting our second child and everything what it my involved that can affect the company.

There's more to it, minor stuff that aren't even true but by law they don't even really need a reason for not keeping me.

Thing is I really enjoy the work, would love to stay in the company and wanted to ask for an increase of working hours.

I have bills to pay and this came with a month notice...

    • You want to work 70% of the time over the next 2 years. That's a very nice deal for you. Not for the company.canoe
    • ^ I see where you getting at but no. My partner has minus hours in her job so I can receive 950€ for 20 hours of specialized work.oey_oey
    • My kid goes 9 hours to the kindergarten and stands up at 5am for it so I can do this job.oey_oey
    • I have the right to take 3 years parental leave and I want to take max of 9 months over a period of 3 years because the money I would receive is peanuts.oey_oey
    • I will not receive 100% of the money in this 70% of time. Besides, I didn't need to say anything to them and I did so we could plan together.oey_oey
    • @mono yes, for example like using something regularly to scan old documents when actually my coworkers admire me for the fact I don't use it at all.oey_oey
    • I was criticized for using a function in the software without asking. when all other functions that I asked about the reply was: obviously. it's there to use.oey_oey
    • I really don't want into so many details. or write so much about it honestly. I'm going to contact the workers association to ask about wrongful end of contractoey_oey
