Off the back of Busterboy's post above - I recently rekindled contact with a friend from home who moved back from London a few years back. She brought me up to speed with some of the old gang who I've not seen in over twenty years and, My! how much has absolutely not changed for them at all: Three of them are still living with their folks - we're not that far off fifty! wtf?

    • When you say "folks", I imagine you don't mean that they still live with their parents, right?OBBTKN
    • i'd live with my family... if they didn't suck. but conceptually, my home can serve several people. envious of such bonds. (unless they're just broke)imbecile
    • when in HK, relationship there was very family centric. not all, but some of her family lived in large groups. holidays were cool with me. I miss her great gma.imbecile
    • ^ yep. all of my elderly neighbours have kids living with them. even though the kids are my age and have jobs they don't engage in 'neighbour' conversationkingsteven

    • @obbtkn - unfortunately that's exactly what I mean. One of them wasn't a horrific surprise, but two of them I was almost dumbfounded.Nairn
    • ..You know where i'm 'from' so you know how big the place is - unfortunately house prices are almost as bad as London, which might figure into things. Still.Nairn
