I knew this day would finally come!
I've got 2 kids...21 and 19. Both live at home. My 21 year old daughter is moving out in a few days to live with her partner...and I'm incredibly sad.
I'm not one of those parents that wants their kids out as quickly as possible...I just love having them around. Fills me with happiness...and the thought of an empty house...well it just makes me sad.
I know it's an exciting time for her...and I'm putting on a happy front...and I know it's all just the circle of life and all that.
But... :(

- We love our friends. There are a few friends with kids about the same age as ours and we agree how much fun it would be to live together when we’re old********
- Every empty nester over 60 that I know is sad and lonely, even if they still have their spouse with them********

my daughter is 20, son is 17...
they crack me up 24-7.. my wife and i both absolutely love their company...exador1 - I'll be crushed to see em go...
but... in this economy?..lol... my guess is they'll be around for a while ;)exador1 - our oldest is in Uni for Poli-sci, wants to be a lawyer.. our boy is in his last year of HS, and wants to get into film directing/production etc...exador1

- My sister and brother have moved back to sheffield / derbyshire area recently and its given mum and dad SUCH a boost with all the grand kids being aroundDaveO
