In an internal branding consult meeting; "branding territory" was called out as an offensive term because it brings to mind the land stolen from indigenous people here.
- Also 'branding' sounds aggressive, like cowboys branding their cattle with hot irons, or worse, slaves branded with hot irons. I'm triggered... outrageous.shapesalad
