I work as an in-house designer at a company. It's small (20 people) and comfortable. I'm good at my job and my boss and coworkers and I all get along.
But I've been there 2+ years and it's starting to get repetitive and the days are long and I talk to the same people all the time.
I've grown a lot here and think I could be making more money. I've only gotten a small inflation raise as I asked and also know we don't have a ton of money floating around. I don't want to look for another job, but that would be a good way to get more money maybe.
How do I spice it up so things don't get boring in another year?
The grass is always greener, but it would be exciting to work in a company with a lot more people to be friends with.
- carve out a part of the job you can own? you may not make more money, but that time will be spent doing what you want.imbecile
- Ask if you can work remote. Then sell all your stuff, end rental contract - book out airbnb's etc for 1 month each across europe/aisa.shapesalad
- catpower spiced things up, but probably not best to go down that route.PhanLo
- So I hear that you want to spice it up...get a side hustle, like becoming a sex tourism coordinator or knob cobbler associate and what not.utopian

- A buddy of mine has found some success searching Linkedin for jobs. Not applying but instead emailing asking if they need some help in the interim while theymisterhow
- find someone full time. This had led to a bunch of long contracts. One company rewrote their job posting to include him as a team member.misterhow
