I'm really quite puzzled... they've spent so much (on bribes, on PSG, all this circus) to show us their team is basically rubbish and does not belong in a tournament like this, the amount of empty seats after half time was just ridiculous, and I'm talking about the host country here, the opening game
It's like paying billions to organize a beauty pageant just to show to the world your girl is the ugliest of them all
I know the Qatar players looked very nervous, I have a lot of sympathy for them, who knows how it might end for them? Let us hope they've been promised reward in case of success rather than a punishment in case of defeat, maybe neither, maybe both, but knowing how many lives were sacrificed in the name of having this circus is just.. I'm speechless
I like football, maybe even love it, it's always been there, both on playground and on TV, it's just a game people enjoy everywhere, but this one tournament... this one is quite fucked up
on one hand I hope Qatar team gets ten goals from the Dutch and maybe 8 from Senegal, on the other hand it's just football and I don't wish for any of their heads to literally roll
