Biggest bonus of being on Wellbutrin and what it does for my anxiety and how it offsets the effects of Lexapro:

I DON'T GIVE AN F about paying any attention to the election tomorrow beyond voting.

I've spent the past 7 years with constantly simmering angst and stress and tension about politics and wasted who knows how many days or months doom scrolling Twitter and Reddit to stay on top of everything.

Wellbutrin somehow totally turns off the impulse to spend more than a minute or two on that stuff now. I feel like Alex in A Clockwork Orange after his treatment, and his newfound rejection of the ultra-violence. It's like I now know what it feels like to feel GOOD and focused and enthusiastic and that makes me recognize the triggers that make me not feel that way.

It's the craziest thing, hard to explain I guess. But my consumption of political crap has gone down more than I thought would ever be possible.

    • that's awesome news, imagine the amount of stress, tension and angst that has removed from your life, it must feel great.BuddhaHat
    • Thank you! It's wild, and so different. It's so freeing to not be driven to get mad about those things.mg33
