Fritz the cat turns 50 this year,

its creator Ralph Bakshi was also responsible for Spiderman's darker and psychedelic infused 2nd and 3rd seasons

    • I didn't realize Bakshi had a hand in this Spiderman seasons, I guess makes sense as remember as an early 80s kid watching these religiouslyprophetone
    • and certain episodes being all spaced out and ominous, def psychedelic with the backgrounds and sky visuals, crazyprophetone
    • and now that I'm googling this another spaced out show I watched a lot of that seems same was Rocket Robin Hoodprophetone
    • apparently he re-used visuals from RRH for Spiderman, pretty cool

    • I wish he didn’t run out of budget or whatever with his LotR stuff. It felt rushed and unfinishedscarabin
    • It was still in his early rotoscope years. IIRC, LOTR and Wizards were in production simultaneously.garbage
    • Back in college, I had a grizzly old professor that spent his holidays as a grizzly old ice climber. Holidays are coming, our massive final essays are near due.garbage
    • Dude was not looking to have his ice climb trip ruined, told the entire room that any late papers slid under his office door..garbage
    • ..would be burned as an offering to Fritz the Cat. I went full "FLOL" and looked like a lunatic because nobody in the room got the joke.garbage
