  Unless they go all out, I think that Russia using a nuke in the role of an aggressor state will lead to a worldwide banning of ALL nuclear weapons.

  Either that, or outright proliferation.

  It was at the time acceptable for the States to use nukes over Japan, but the same mentality now would not be tenable, never mind for a state that is actively offensive.

  Time to move on - Russia's a backward-looking laggard, of no use in its current form to the greater world.
